The Vatican creates course ' to bring up to date ' priests in confessions

The Vatican is making with that priests pass for a course of update in confessions to restore the confidence of the Italian fidiciary offices. The course of update of the Vatican has the objective to fortify the training of the priests to improve the relations with the fidiciary offices. The Italian Church faces a great fall in the number of fidiciary offices that pass for the confession and some blame the performance of the priests who hear the sins of the catholics.

According to critics, the priests are not prepared to deal with the sorry fidiciary offices. The Church Catholic is cliente of the insatisfação of some of the penitentes with the priests who hear the confessions. According to last data, about 30% of the Italian catholics affirm that it is not necessary to have a priest for the confession. Others 10% say that the presence of the priest "hinders the direct dialogue with God". E 20% admits that it is difficult to speak on its sins with another person.

The bishop Gianfranco Girotti, that leads the Apostolic court of Confessions and Penances, affirmed that the sacrament of the confession is in "a serious state of difficulty". The new training was organized by the court led for Girotti and includes some representations of examples taken off of the real life, as people divorced and the calls "irregular couples", beyond couples the same sex.
